Downham village. Located near Clitheroe in lancashire. You can just see the outline of Pendle in the distance, it was covered in mist on the day this was taken. The road which leads out of the village takes you to Barley.
The Ashetton Arms pub and the Post Office Tea rooms are the two places you can get a bit to eat.
Downham was used by the BBC as the location for the series, Born and Bred, starring James Bolam.
Downham was also featured as the setting for the 1960s film Whistle Down the Wind starring a young Hayley Mills and Alan Bates, which is shown on TCM occasionally.
